How long would they last in a zombie apocalypse?

J’hasi would last as long as he wanted. Stress on the wanting part. If he doesn’t have anyone left and no way to cure people, there isn’t a whole lot going for him. He’s good at surviving, but if he’s just going to live the rest of forever by himself with no hope of anything good happening, either an end or finding someone else alive and cognitive enough to enjoy talking to, he doesn’t see much of a point.

Even if its just some kids that managed to survive, he’d adopt them in a heartbeat and get them whatever supplies they needed and teach them and yeah den mother J’hasi lmao

How would they react to suddenly being hugged?

J’hasi likes hugs. But only when given by people he trusts to some extent. A stranger is likely to get an elbow somewhere unpleasant and thrown to the ground with a Khajiit ready to fight standing over them, mistaking the hug as an attack or an attempt to restrain him.

A new friend is likely surprise, jumping a little, maybe seeming a little alarmed, but if nothing bad happens, then he’ll slowly relax, but be just a little tense in his gut, that lingering ‘what if?’ keeping him from accepting it completely. He might return it slowly, but it varies on the time he’s known the person and the trust he has in them.

A well-known friend to a best friend sort of area, he practically melts into their arms, returning it wholeheartedly and playing with their hair or running his hands over their back or shoulders, usually resting his head on their heart if he can, otherwise putting his chin over their shoulder and fully embracing them. Lots of purring. Him happy. It’s all good things when he trusts someone and they hug him.

J’hasi is a massive slut for hugs, but lack of trust in any living and mutually-feeling people means he’s usually anxiously standing in the corner and watching all the other kids hug it out.

J’hasi frowned.

“That guy at the festival? Seems nice, just doesn’t talk much is all. I…I was pretty drunk, so I don’t remember much more other than his eyes. They were real pretty.” The Khajiit rubbed at his jaw, thinking before shrugging.

“Wouldn’t mind having him at my back in a barfight, but anyone who looks like they can take and throw a punch is more than worth their salt in that sort of situation.”

💬

“U-um…” The Khajiit swallowed, ears flicking back as his eyes darted to the ground, lingering over the worn cobblestone and the blades of grass that attempted to retake the road. He forcefully blew out the air in his lungs, seeming to take some of that roiling anxiety out with it, rubbing over his forehead.

“H…he’s a good teacher, n’ I learn a lot from him, but…” J’hasi let out another huff of breath, fidgeting in place.

“Hist…he…he terrifies me. I can’t tell if he’s blind or what, but he always seems to know exactly when I screw something up or say something stupid and…” He shook his head, inwardly cursing at himself for just the thought of the Altmer was making his hands shake.

“I-I don’t know if it’s because of what he taught, or that eerie prickling feeling I get around him, or what, but… It’s like he pays attention to every little move I make and uses it against me when he’s not happy about something. …usually my spellcasting.” Although that time he and Icarus had escalated a fight to more than just hissed words in class and was subjected to cleaning up the cadavers after dismissal certainly would’ve been more than enough reason…

💬

“They seem quiet, kinda like they wanna be left by themself, but…” The Khajiit frowned, his lips pouting out a little as he thought.

“I don’t know much about them, but I like their hair with the beads n’ braids n’ stuff. Maybe they live way out away from the rest of town so that kids won’t spook the fish while they’re tryin’ to make a living.”

💬 WHADDUP FAM

The Khajiit’s muzzle wrinkled in a silent snarl just as the thought of that little bastard.

“That Thalmor whelp can go jump off a cliff and only the innkeepers would mourn the lost business. If that.” J’hasi shook his head, his lips coming down just enough to cover his bared teeth.

“The Thalmor have no reason to be here, least of all to have that arrogant little snot-sucker attempt to burn the College to the ground. He’s lucky that his brother is the exact opposite, else I’d let him get torn apart by draugr. He’s irresponsible and arrogant and is going to get himself killed someday, and by the Hist, that day can’t come soon enough.” J’hasi’s muzzle started to smooth out, but the tension around his eyes wouldn’t quite go away.

“Aldaril is…” The Khajiit hissed out a low curse. “Aldaril seems to be a good kid, why he’s in the Thalmor is anyone’s guess. Unless his politeness is just for show, in which case…” He shook his head, rubbing at his temples.

“I just hope he knows what he’s getting into, joining a bunch of murderous zealots…”

Send 💬 and my muse will say what they really think about yours.

“She seems honest. I mean, she has a…undead…dog, but like…rather that than find out that she’s actually a Thalmor spy tryin’ to poison me or slit my throat while I’m sleeping.” The Khajiit frowned, fiddling with a braid he’d started in his mane, small and with great attention paid to it.

“She actually reminds me a little bit of Sees, but like… I don’t know how to describe it. Their personalities are very different, but there’s this sort of…feeling…” He scratched at his neck, leaving the braid to drop and partially untangle, feeling anxiety crawl up the back of his neck and start working on brewing a headache. J’hasi closed his eyes, shaking his head.

“Dust seems like a harmless eccentric that plays it down for sake of business, which is not the worst sort I’ve come across. Honestly, I prefer knowing that she’s like that. Makes things less awkward.” He pressed his knuckles into his brow, trying to press away the tension, and prevent the headache from growing from the tiny spark of discomfort inside of his skull. He sighed after a few moments.

“She makes great tea, and she’s friendly. Time will tell if I keep coming back. So far I have no reason to seek out alternative alchemists.”

BLOOD; YAH; PRIDE

BLOOD. -What types of injuries has your muse sustained? What was the worst?

Many different kinds. Bites, burns, broken bones, fractures, stabs, cuts, blunt force trauma to pretty much any part of the body. He’s been set on fire, whipped until he’s bled, mauled by various kinds of beasts both natural and daedric in origin, gone blade to blade and hand to hand with dozens and dozens of people at this point in time. Honestly if you can think of any not immediately lifethreatening injury, J’hasi’s probably gotten it at some point.

Worst injury is kind of a tough one. If we’re going singular injuries, probably when he got run all the way through by a Thalmor soldier’s blade, in the gut and out the back. Honestly, it’s a fucking miracle he survived (it nearly impaled his fucking kidney so honestly, close shave). And by survived I mean that a healer actually got to him in time before he bled out and actually got some magical healing through his stupid spell absorption to at least close the major vessels.

YAH. -Something your muse agrees on 100% of the time.

Slavery is bad and yes, he does need another drink, thank you.

PRIDE. -What is your muses biggest flaw?

It’s probably his biggest asset, funnily enough. J’hasi’s stubborn to a fault. While it means that he’s very determined and very difficult to dissuade once he’s set his mind on something, it also means that he’s slow to change his opinions on things/people, which can be a good or bad thing. Usually, it’s bad, leading him to get himself hurt or nearly killed by someone who he thought was a friend, who decided to betray him for some reason or another. It makes it difficult for him to trust new people as well, which in some cases, again, can be good or bad. While he’s more quick to shift in terms of cooperation and compromises and such, his opinions are slow to shift unless something dramatically counters his previous stance.

FEEL. -How does your character react to a persons touch? A random stranger’s? A loved one’s? A friend’s?

Who’s touching him is a big deal. A stranger? They’d be looking at anything from him sliding away from them, out of touching range to getting a bite or a punch to the face or some other sensitive place. A random touching him out of the blue, either in neutral or friendly intentions he’s gonna slide away from, feeling hella fucking uncomfortable. Someone who grabs his shoulder and makes some threatening comment is gonna get punched. More aggressive grabs they’re just going to get straight up bitten. J’hasi doesn’t fuck around when he feels threatened, a stranger who pushes even after that is going to end up going to the healer’s afterwards. Nothing lifethreatening, just incapacitated and in a lot of fucking pain.

A friend’s touch depends on how close they are. A new, friendly but not creepy acquaintance is likely to be a little surprise, possibly even a positive point for them depending on circumstances. Too soon and he gets creeped out. It’s a delicate balance in the first few interactions. After the initial impressions are made and J’hasi feels relatively okay with a new friend, non-creepy touches can reinforce the bond, and oftentimes once he feels like it’s okay to give touches back, that’s the point that they transition into ‘official’ friend. He may still feel a little hesitant with them at times, but by and large he’s comfortable with them, and touches are usually warmly received and returned.

J’hasi hasn’t felt the touch of a loved one in a long time, but when he does he usually ends up almost acting like a little kid again. He’s very open and trusting with loved ones, fully relaxing to the point that sometimes he melts into them, like when being given hugs. Lots of purring and rubbing his face on them, just very calm and relaxed. This is assuming he’s either alone with them or around others he trusts about as much, in public he still relaxes, but not to the point that he would if they were alone, and while he purrs, it’s not as loud and he’s not rubbing his face on them so much as he’s just resting his forehead or cheek against them. Alone, hugs are almost like upright cuddles, honestly.

HUMBLE. -How does your muse handle praise?

Depends on the person giving it. Usually J’hasi’s default is surprise, then feeling kinda better about himself for a short while afterwards. He doesn’t say much, but the way it makes him feel is very clear in his expression and body language.

If it’s from someone who doesn’t usually give out praise, the most he’d say is like an ‘oh, really?’ and then be a little confused afterwards, with or without the feelgood feeling. (e.g. Astarill giving genuine praise)

If it’s from someone he looks up to, he’ll be surprised, then a big stupid grin will be on his face and he’ll feel pretty good about himself afterwards, but rarely says much. (e.g. Sees-In-Mist teaching him when he was a hatchling)

If it’s from someone he’s usually antagonistic with, which is typically returned, he’ll have the split second of surprise before he realizes it’s genuine and not sarcasm, and then turn right into a smirk, typically accompanied by some sort of quip or remark. (e.g. gods forbid if Icarus ever praised J’hasi ever)
