[WARNING SPOILERS FOR FALLOUT 4:
So…finished a playthrough of Fallout 4 that I didn’t go how I wanted at all. I wanted to play along with the Institute long enough to get information, which the game seemed to take it as my character automatically thinks synths are just machines and wanted to work with the Institute EVEN THOUGH I NEVER ACTUALLY CONFIRMED WITH THEM THAT I WAS JOINING THEM. Also I had zero emotional attachment with Shaun, so like…that ending was just kind of a ‘yeah…okay…? And…?’ feel. Like I felt more attachment to my spouse, who I knew for a shorter amount of time, rather than the guy who’s apparently my kid and did like 10 quests for.
I mean Fallout 3 I got super fucking emotional about it because the game took the time to build emotional bonds with the PC, New Vegas is…well more either revenge/fun, but Fallout 4… I vastly prefer the sidequests I’ve been doing rather than the main quest and I guess I just was disappointed in general with it.
Gonna try different ways to handle it because there’s so much potential with the Institute and tryin to see if they’d be willing to work with the Commonwealth coz that’s just straight up disappointing if you can’t at least try.]
